Everyone’s talking about XRP. Some are calling it the gateway to the Quantum Financial System (QFS). Others say it’s the future of banking. But before you go all in — do you actually know what you’re investing in?
Let’s break it down. 👇
⚡ What is XRP? XRP was created by Jed McCaleb, Arthur Britto & David Schwartz — and later commercialised by Ripple Labs. It was built specifically for banks and financial institutions to move money across borders quickly and cheaply.
Sounds great, right? But here’s where it gets interesting…
🏦 XRP is DEEPLY connected to the banking system
- Used by banks like Santander, Bank of America & American Express
- Ripple’s On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) product uses XRP to settle cross-border payments
- It was literally designed to work within the existing financial system — not replace it
🔴 The BIG issue — Centralisation Here’s what most people glossing over XRP charts don’t tell you:
- Ripple Labs controls billions of XRP locked in escrow
- They release it on their schedule — meaning they can influence the supply and price
- The XRP Ledger uses a trusted validator list — also largely influenced by Ripple
- The SEC sued Ripple in 2020 for selling XRP as an unregistered security — because it behaves more like a company-controlled asset than a decentralised currency
This is the opposite of what Bitcoin or Ethereum were designed to be.
✅ Decentralised vs ❌ Centralised — Know the Difference
| Decentralised (e.g. Bitcoin) | Centralised (e.g. XRP) | |
|---|---|---|
| Who controls it? | No one / the network | Ripple Labs |
| Can supply be manipulated? | No — fixed supply | Yes — Ripple holds escrow |
| Designed for banks? | No | Yes |
| Aligns with financial freedom? | ✅ | ❌ |
| Transparent governance? | ✅ | Partially |
🐉 QFS or Beast System? Some in alternative circles are calling XRP the Quantum Financial System — a supposed new financial order that replaces the corrupt old one.
But think about it…
If the same banks that have controlled the financial system for centuries are the ones adopting XRP — is that really liberation? Or is it the same system with a new digital face?
A truly free financial system wouldn’t be controlled by a private company with billions in escrow and deep ties to Wall Street.
Do your research. Know what you’re holding. Understand the system you’re supporting.
📚 Educate yourself on the difference between:
- 🔓 Decentralised — open, permissionless, no central authority
- 🔒 Centralised — controlled, permissioned, company or government backed
Because in the world we’re heading into, that difference matters more than ever.
